SUNBRIGHT® GM-050EX (DMG-PEG)

SUNBRIGHT GM-050EX (DMG-PEG5000) is a PEGylated lipid designed to enhance the stability and efficiency of lipid nanoparticle (LNP) drug delivery systems. It features two C14:0 fatty acids (14 carbon atoms, no double bonds, myristic acid) connected at the 1- and 2-positions of a glycerol backbone, and a polyethylene glycol (PEG) chain of 5,000 Da linked at the 3-position. By incorporating PEG into the surface of LNPs, it improves the stability and circulation time of LNPs in the bloodstream, facilitating efficient delivery of encapsulated therapeutic agents such as mRNA, siRNA, and other nucleic acids.
