COATSOME® ME-4040 (DMPE)

COATSOME ME-4040 (DMPE), or 1,2-Dimyristoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine, is a ≥99% pure synthetic phospholipid. Featuring C14:0 fatty acids (14 carbon atoms, no double bonds, myristic acid) at both the sn-1 and sn-2 positions, DMPE provides a small phosphoethanolamine headgroup, promoting membrane curvature and facilitating membrane fusion in lipid-based formulations.
DMPE is suitable for liposomal and lipid nanoparticle (LNP) formulations, and supports the development of advanced drug delivery systems requiring enhanced membrane fusion or endosomal escape.
