COATSOME® MC-6060 (DPPC)

COATSOME MC-6060 (DPPC), or 1,2-Dipalmitoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine, is a ≥99% pure synthetic phospholipid. Composed of C16:0 fatty acids (16 carbon atoms, no double bonds, palmitic acid) at both the sn-1 and sn-2 positions, DPPC provides high membrane rigidity, making it suitable for liposomal and lipid nanoparticle (LNP) formulations that require controlled stability.
With a phase transition temperature (Tc) of approximately 42°C, DPPC remains in a gel phase at physiological temperatures, enabling controlled membrane behavior and supporting formulation robustness. Manufactured using highly purified fatty acids, MC-6060 offers consistent quality suitable for pharmaceutical research and clinical applications.
